LRCA Jazz Record Hop & Holiday Tree Trimming Party
The Lackawanna River Corridor Association (LRCA) cordially invites you to a Jazz Record Hop and Holiday Tree Trimming Party on Saturday Night, December 8th from 7 to 11 pm at The Silkman House in Scranton.  Â
The 2nd in a series of Jazz Hops, the evening’s festivities will feature an exceptional collection of vintage jazz recordings from the 1930’s, 40’s and 50’s. Along with the jazz there will have a fine selection of food and beverages to celebrate the season. A donation of $15.00 per person is requested, with proceeds supporting the mission of the LRCA to restore and conserve the Lackawanna River and its watershed resources.
All Members and Friends of the River are asked to bring an ornament for the Tree. LRCA will also collect canned goods and non perishable food items for donation to the Food Pantry at United Neighborhood Centers.
If you’ve been to River-fest or one of our Parties on the River you know that you’ll have a great time with only the best music, friends, food and beverages at our Jazz Hop. This event is part of our year long celebration of the LRCA’s 20th year of conservation work along the Lackawanna River .
We are please to be able to showcase the home of the LRCA, Silkman House, which is one of Scranton’s oldest homes, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
