Missing Scranton Man: Can You Help?

You never know who may have seen something that did not seem important at the time, but might be the one clue to finding Matthew Grendel, who has been missing since March 10th.
Anyone who may have information about Matthew please call the Scranton Police Department at 570-348-4134.

Lackawanna River Clean Up

At noon on Sunday, April 22, 2007, I went to the banks of the Lackawanna River in the Green Ridge section of Scranton, PA to help clean up a wide assortment of objects that find their way into the river.

Earth Day Cleanup of the Lackawanna River

The Lackawanna River Corridor Association is staging a 2-day Earth Day cleanup Saturday and Sunday, April 21 & 22, 2007 along the river.
According to Bernard McGurl, the association’s Executive Director: “We’re hoping to get some of the worst eyesores out of the river. It means we’ll have a cleaner environment for river recreation.”

Winter…In April?

Hello from “we are still having winter” in Lackawananna County, Northeast PA!
In something new this year, lucky anglers in the Southeastern counties of PA got to start fishing on March 31st this year, while the remainder of us still have to wait about 7 more days until we can begin fishing on April 14th.
